The Floatainer Model FCB is designed to integrate a hydraulic bogey comprised of 2.5m wide powered rollers which allows it to travel over foreshores ranging from hard gravel to soft mud. In soft ground conditions the bogey rollers are fitted with "Mud Paddle" grousers which drags the FCB along on its flat hull. The "Soft State" configuration allows containers and general cargo to be transported over any ground conditions which can be negotiated by foot. The mud grousers are retractable into the rollers and can be extended according to the ground conditions.
