The Folding Container Barge(FCB) is the heart of the Floatainer System.

• The deck, tie-down and lifting lugs are all designed and positioned to best accommodate the transport of shipping containers.  The lift lugs and hull strength is such that the whole craft, complete with load may be launched from  Ships-deck by crane.

• The FCB has continuous, free-draining decks which also allows the hull to be lengthened by clipping multiple FCB hulls together to increase payload or to construct floating bridges.  The high strength-to-weight ratio also allows the FCB hull sections to be used as spanning land bridges .
