Floatainer Systems produce two small-scale container systems which are designed specifically for scientific and exploration expeditions in remote areas. These two models (SB and SF) incorporate independent watertight containers into buoyant hulls which can be towed or manually pushed from ship-to-shore and unloaded by hand or light crane.

Model_SF consists of 9 oval containers which lock into a hollow-section frame. This model is specifically designed for manual handling. Modules range from 0.5 - 1.0 m3

Model_SB is of box-construction designed to hold goods within a number of water-tight compartments within the hull and also within independent bins strapped on-deck. A central well within the hull is configured safely transport 200ltr (44 gallon) drums. The double-skin protection complies with regulations for transport of dangerous goods at sea. Large goods up to 15m 2 may be transported on deck.
